PROJECT SCOPE
Interior Design – Selection of interior and exterior finishes, including cladding, flooring, cabinetry, paint colours, tiles, carpet, door hardware and feature lighting.
Interior Decoration – Furniture selection and space planning, including a custom sofa, lounge chairs, dining table, made-to-measure curtains and blinds, commissioned artwork and outdoor furniture.
My clients live and work on their family property, where they had spent many years raising their three children. When the time came to build their forever home, they wanted a design that embraced the rolling Yarra Valley landscape while creating something truly personal and timeless.
With so many interior and exterior selections to make, they recognised they needed the guidance of an experienced interior designer to help them navigate the countless decisions involved in building a home.
For the next 18 months, I worked alongside the builder and trades, guiding every design decision from colours, materials and finishes through to furniture, window furnishings and styling. I became the first point of contact whenever a design choice needed to be made, ensuring every element worked together cohesively.
With extensive custom cabinetry and a considered lighting scheme, this project required careful coordination across every detail. I collaborated with my trusted team to develop beautifully resolved joinery and lighting that enhanced the architecture of the home. I managed the process from concept through to completion, ensuring every element came together seamlessly.
One of the defining architectural features was the spectacular curved glass walls and windows. These beautiful curves became the inspiration for many of the interior details, including the statement curved kitchen island that now forms the heart of the home.
This project was a wonderful example of what can be achieved when a talented team of designer, builders and skilled trades collaborate towards a shared vision. It remains one of my favourite projects and perfectly reflects the thoughtful, timeless interiors I love creating for my clients.
